Half Pipe Lamp

A limited edition desk lamp made from reclaimed stainless steel and hardwood.

Each lamp begins with reclaimed materials sourced through local partners in Savannah. The stainless steel shade was originally intended for custom sport fishing chairs, while the hardwood base is individually turned and finished by hand. Every detail, from proportion and finish to light quality, was refined through months of prototyping and testing.

Only 50 lamps were produced. Because each is made from reclaimed materials and assembled by hand, subtle variations in height, grain, and finish make every piece unique.

SOUP X SCADpro

The Half Pipe Lamp was created through a collaboration between SOUP and SCADpro.

SOUP is a nonprofit that brings together design, entrepreneurship, and technology to turn ideas into opportunity. SCADpro is the innovation studio at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where multidisciplinary student teams partner with organizations to develop products, services, and experiences.

Together, SOUP and SCADpro set out to create a functional, thoughtfully made product from reclaimed materials. Students led the project from concept to market, guiding every stage of development from research and prototyping through fabrication, testing, packaging, and launch.
